Base44 is seeking an exceptional Senior AI/ML Engineer to help revolutionize our natural language-based app creation platform. You'll be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge AI systems that power our core technology, working directly with LLMs and advanced ML models. This role requires deep expertise in machine learning, natural language processing, and production-grade AI systems. You'll be instrumental in shaping our AI architecture and pushing the boundaries of what's possible with language models.

AI System Architecture & Development:

Design and implement sophisticated AI/ML systems for natural language understanding and code generation
Optimize and fine-tune large language models for specific use cases
Develop novel approaches to improve model performance and reliability
Create robust evaluation frameworks for AI system performance

Production AI Infrastructure:

Build scalable, production-ready AI infrastructure
Implement efficient model serving architectures
Design systems for continuous model improvement and monitoring
Optimize model inference for cost and latency

Research & Innovation:

Stay at the cutting edge of AI/ML developments
Conduct research into novel applications of language models
Contribute to the AI community through publications and open-source projects
Mentor junior engineers and shape technical direction

Requirements:

PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field, or equivalent experience
8+ years of experience in machine learning and AI systems
Deep expertise in PyTorch or TensorFlow and production ML frameworks
Extensive experience with transformer architectures and LLMs
Track record of building production AI systems at scale
Strong background in natural language processing
Experience with distributed systems and cloud infrastructure
