Base44 is highly versatile and supports a wide range of projects, including personal productivity apps, portfolios, landing pages, and business process automation systems. It’s also ideal for rapid prototyping and building MVPs.
Is student data secure with Base44?
Yes. We take data security seriously. Base44 includes built-in user management and authentication, along with industry-standard encryption and security practices to protect both student data and user information. For more details, please refer to our Privacy and Security documentation.
Do students own the applications or projects they create with Base44?
Absolutely. Students retain full ownership of all applications and content they create using Base44. We claim no rights to your work. You are free to modify, distribute, or commercialize your projects however you choose. For additional details, please review our Terms of Service.
Do students need coding experience to use Base44?
No coding experience is required. Base44 is designed to be accessible to non-technical users. Simply describe what you want to build in plain language, and our AI handles the technical implementation.
Who should I contact if a student is having trouble with their account?
For project-related questions, please reach out to our education team directly. For account access or subscription issues, contact the Base44 customer support team.
Does Base44 offer private classroom instruction?
Yes. We love being part of the classroom and we review requests for classroom visits and private instruction on a case-by-case basis. We also regularly host live webinars that students can attend individually, or that educators can embed into their classroom instruction.
What additional benefits do educators get when partnering with Base44 education team?
Educators who partner with us get teaching materials, guest lectures, webinars, and a dedicated partner to help plan your courses.
Can I use Base44 in my classroom with my own curriculum materials?
Yes. Base44 is an open and flexible platform. Educators are encouraged to integrate it into their classrooms in whatever way best supports their curriculum and teaching style.
How many projects can students build on the free plan?
Base44 uses a credit-based system, where each prompt consumes account credits. The free tier includes 5 credits per day and 25 credits per month. Once the monthly limit is reached, additional credits aren’t available until the next billing cycle or a paid plan is purchased. Paid plans also unlock advanced features and higher credit limits.
Do you offer student or educator discounts on paid plans?
Yes. Students and educators may be eligible to purchase the Builder plan at a 50% discount. A valid educational email address is required to access the discount. Please contact us at highered@base44.com for more information.
How do students share finished apps with classmates, instructors, or in their portfolio?
Base44 includes built-in hosting, so once a project is published, it’s instantly live and shareable via a link. Students can choose to make their apps public or restrict access to invite-only.
