The vibe coding platform for real, full-stack apps

Most vibe coding tools hand you a frontend and wish you luck. Base44 gives you the whole working application, and the code stays yours.

What is a vibe coding platform?

A vibe coding platform turns a plain-language software description into a working application — you write intent and refine the result in conversation. Base44 is a vibe code platform that ships the infrastructure with the app — hosting, security and a database come built in, so no technical knowledge is required.

You describe, and the app is built

Vibe coding means creating an application by describing what you want in plain language and letting AI write it — the frontend, the logic, and everything needed to make it real.

Not the same as an AI code editor

An editor helps you write code faster in a project you already run. A platform produces and runs the whole application — database, auth and hosting included.

The part that decides if it works

Any tool can generate a screen. What matters is whether the thing underneath it runs, holds your data, signs your users in, and can be handed to a developer later.

Vibe coding examples to start with

Vibe coding is not only for apps. Pick anything you need or want to achieve, describe it, and build an app, a site, an agent or a game you can actually use.

An internal tool

The spreadsheet your team has outgrown — requests, approvals, inventory — with real logins so the right people see the right rows.

A website that gets found

A marketing site, a landing page or a portfolio — pages built to be read and to rank, not to hold accounts.

An agent that works for you

Not a chatbot bolted on: an agent that runs tasks on a schedule, reaches you where you already work, and keeps going when you close the tab.

A game

A browser game you can hand someone a link to — the fastest way to see how far a description gets you.

A SaaS product

Sign-ups, subscription billing and a dashboard — the standard shape of a small software business, generated as working code.

Every app arrives with its whole stack

You are not handed a frontend and left to find a backend. The database, the logins, the hosting and the code are all part of what gets built — and the code is yours to take.

Every app gets a built-in database — NoSQL, MongoDB-compatible — with a data model derived from the way you described the app. No provisioning, no connection strings, no separate bill. When you add a field in conversation, the schema changes with it.

What you get

What Base44 builds when you vibe code an app

Not a mockup and not a starting template — the working parts of an application, generated together so they actually fit.

A real backend

Every app gets a built-in database from the first prompt, with server-side TypeScript functions from the Builder plan — generated together, so they fit.

Logins and roles

Authentication and roles ship on every plan, so the right people see the right pages from day one. Your own branded Google sign-in arrives at Builder.

Payments built in

Built-in payments powered by Wix, or connect your own Stripe — from the Builder plan. Charging for your app is a setting, not an integration project.

Agents for your users

AI agents that live inside the app you ship: they talk to your end users, read and write your data, and call your backend functions when they need to.

Connect it to the tools you already run on

The app you vibe code connects natively to Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Outlook and Slack. Stripe, HubSpot, Salesforce, Notion and dozens more are a prompt away.

Connectors are available on Builder plans and above.

How it works

How does vibe coding work?

You describe what you want, the platform generates the whole application, and you refine it in conversation until it does what you meant. Five steps, start to finish — most first versions arrive in a few minutes.

  1. Step 01

You describe the app you want

Write what it should do and who it is for, in plain language. This is the whole input a vibe coding platform needs — no stack decisions, no boilerplate.

  2. Step 02

    Get a working first version

Base44 generates the screens, the data model and the backend together, then puts it in front of you running rather than as a diff to review.

  3. Step 03

Refine it — vibe coding is a conversation

Change what is wrong by saying so. Add a field, restrict a page to admins, change how a flow ends — each change lands in the live app.

  4. Step 04

You wire in the real pieces

Add logins, connect Stripe for payments, and hook up the services you use. Payments and connectors are available from the Builder plan.

  5. Step 05

You publish it and keep going

Hosting is already there, so publishing is not a separate project. Add a custom domain from Starter, and export the code whenever you want it.

Vibe coding questions, answered honestly

You tell it what is wrong and it fixes it, which sounds glib but is the actual mechanic worth understanding before you start. The first version of anything is a draft: a field in the wrong place, a flow that ends where it should not, a page visible to people who should not see it. You describe the problem the way you would to a colleague and the change lands in the live app. Two habits separate people who get good results from people who give up. First, change one thing at a time — a prompt asking for six fixes gets you six half-fixes. Second, look at what was built rather than only what you asked for, because the gap between those two is where the real bugs live. Most of the common vibe coding mistakes are versions of those two. What you should not expect is a vibe coding tool that is right first time, every time. No platform in this category is, ours included, and any that claims otherwise is describing a demo rather than a build.

Describe it. Then ship it.
